Conference Information

The Creative Media Lab is hosting the 2nd Annual Storytelling in the 21st Century on April 20th. The format for the conference is each program’s Faculty facilitator/director presents their program’s approach to research/creative works and then students will show research and creative works they have created through the programs.
The following programs have been asked to present:
- Texas A&M San Antonio English & Spainish Latin@ Stories
- Southern Methodist University English Department
- UT Austin Latinx Pop Lab
- University of Houston Downtown Center for Latino Studies
- Texas A&M Corpus Christi Media Production Program
- Texas A&M Journalism Program
- Texas A&M College Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts
In addition to academic programs, we will also have community artists and facilitators presenting their approaches to building community knowledge and creative works.
The conference is free, breakfast and lunch will be provided, it will be held at LAAH on the 4th floor. All are welcome, please share with undergraduates, graduate students and faculty (forwarding this email is fine). The Media & Gaming Lab is very excited to be hosting this conference and we look forward to seeing you all there!
